M8 – 1.25 Metallic Pre-Winder

This type of tool is ideal for installing thread inserts in small production runs in places not equipped with a pneumatic or electrical supply. It is a faster alternative to the simple manual setting tool and is suitable for installing standard and self-locking thread inserts.

The mandrel is wound in the thread insert which is then placed in the tapped hole. During installation, the diameter of the thread insert is reduced as it passes through the bottom of the Pre-winder chamber, thus facilitating installation. The chuck is removed by turning the crank counterclockwise, leaving the thread insert in place.
